Music Ministries
Music is a vital part of the worship life of First Presbyterian Church. We offer a number of different choirs for children, youth, and adults. Our offerings include vocal choirs, handbell choirs, a children's Orff ensemble, and much more.
Chancel Choir: The Chancel Choir provides worship leadership for all Sunday morning services throughout the year, as well as for several holiday festival services.
Cambridge Bell Choir: We are a volunteer group of handbell enthusiasts who strive to contribute musically and spiritually to worship at First Presbyterian Church.
What do we play? We ring four octaves of Whitechapel handbells. If you've never played English Whitechapels before (most American handbell choirs play American-made Malmark or Schulmerich bells), you're in for a real treat. We perform about once a month during the Sunday morning 10:30 a.m. service, and on special occasions. We also hold an occasional concert, and love participating in festivals where we join with many other ringers.
- How can I join? Give us a call at the Church Office, (304) 366-2628 and leave your name and number. We'll get back to you.
We also offer music programs for children. Children are invited to attend Children's Music Time with Mrs. Betty Pat Lee and Mrs. Amy Koon at 10:00 a.m.
